JAN 2024: Index of SVW Articles updated
The useful Index of Articles (opens in a new tab) relating to SVW cars has been updated by Jim Andrews to include articles published up to December 2023.
These are articles from the SVW Review, in SVW Newsletters, plus those that have been published in Safety Fast, the SVW Bulletin and in MG Enthusiast.
Where applicable, articles are cross-referenced. For example: ‘Front Hub Bearings’ are also listed as ‘Bearings Front Hub’.
Copies of the articles can be obtained from Jim Andrews at normal photocopying rates plus postage, or they can be scanned and emailed to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
SEP 2023: SVW Event 2024 announced
The event will take place in Holland, earlier in 2024 than is usual – April 24, 25 and 26. This is to take advantage of the amazing tulip fields at that time of year. It will be based near Alkmaar, north of Amsterdam. Further details are available on our Events page (and our other SVW forums). The event email address is svwevent2024@outlook.com.
DEC 2022: SVW Event 2023 announced
The SVW Event for 2023 will be held in Yorkshire from 11th to 13th July and will be based at the Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel,. Further details and booking information are available on the Events page.
FEB 2022: Advertise in the SVW Review
The SVW Register is publishing the 31st SVW Review in the summer. We have published one annually for the last 30 years and owners of SVW cars look forward to it with great anticipation. Indeed, the yearbooks have become collectors’ items and we sell several bulk sets of back copies each year as well as distributing the current edition free to our members and for sale to other owners of our great cars. The Review now has 56 pages in full colour, with technical, historical, and topical articles from throughout the SVW world.
Many of our regular advertisers had a fallow year last year whilst Covid held sway. We would now like to invite you back. Or, if you have never advertised with us before, please consider us now. This is a great place to display your wares to a receptive group. As well as your advertisement appearing in 250 copies of the ‘SVW Review’ your company contact details and a summary of your company services will be posted without charge on our website for the next year at https://svwregister.co.uk/useful-links. This website was updated in 2020 and is getting about 2000 hits a month. It can also be accessed via the MG Car Club Ltd website under the ‘Registers’ Section.
We hope that you will advertise in this year’s edition of the ‘SVW Review’ and I am pleased to confirm that our rates remain unchanged from £30 for a quarter page up to £80 for a full A4 page excluding VAT. Should you choose to advertise a VAT invoice will be e-mailed to you by return.
